It’s a great service for how little it costs. I use carbonite because I learned the hard way. I had my computer backed up on an external hard drive, and the computer crashed. The the external hard drive turned out to have become corrupt.

A virtual private server (VPS, also referred to as Virtual Dedicated Server or VDS) is a method of partitioning a physical server computer into multiple servers such that each has the appearance and capabilities of running on its own dedicated machine. Each virtual server can run its own full-fledged operating system, and each server can be independently rebooted.

The practice of partitioning a single server so that it appears as multiple servers has long been common practice in mainframe computers, but has seen a resurgence lately with the development of virtualization software and technologies for other architectures.

A VPS system is an excellent middle ground for those websites that are too large or popular for a shared web host, but the funds are lacking for a costly dedicated server. VPS systems can be bought for as little as $20/mo-$80/mo. Click here to see the VPS Systems that we recommend.

I have to say that I am happy to see this partnership. I love google as much as the next guy, but they desperately need more competition. I would like to see the search engine advertising industry become much more competitive. By the way, Microhoo is what I saw being advertised online, not something I made up… It is a little cheesy if you ask me. I’ll be watching this partnership to see if it actually gains some momentum to challenge Google.
